Apologies this is a little later than usual. It’s been a hectic month due to personal circumstances.

July saw us process 12 orders (one down from the previous month). Of these orders, 10 were placed by women and 2 were placed by males. The average order value was £13.96.

We have seen a decline in orders through August which might be down to the holidays and it could also be due to us not sharing as many posts due to a close family bereavement. We don’t pay for any advertising and rely entirely on word of mouth to help spread the word. As I sit here and type this blog post, I am extremely proud of where we are now, having processed 61 orders since our launch, helping reduce waste whilst raising money for Talking About Loss. We can’t thank you enough for this.

We’re pleased to announce there is a new drop-off point in Pocklington. This is a private address so please just message us on Facebook or drop us an email for the address. We have been informed that Talking About Loss is putting plans in place to fully reopen their Community Hub. An update will be provided as soon as we know when they are going to reopen.

The biggest expense this month was nearly £30 for a contact form system as the free version allowed people to contact us but we couldn’t view the content and needed to pay for a licence to view and respond. This is a yearly licence but have plans to change this once the year has expired.

What’s Next for Preloved Sports?

We are putting plans in place to register Preloved Sports with Companies House as a Community Interest Company to offer us some protection as we start to take-off. It is a lengthy, complicated process and we need to be sure we can manage the accounts to help keep our costs to a minimum.. We will provide an update on this as and when we can.
