Last week was a huge moment for Preloved Sports CIC 🎥
We were proud to be interviewed by BBC Look North about the work we’re doing to make sport more accessible and affordable for families in our community.
What started as a simple idea — keeping quality sports kit in circulation and reducing barriers to participation — has grown into something much bigger. We’re seeing first-hand how access to the right equipment can build confidence, improve wellbeing, and create opportunity for young people.
But the reality is this: demand is growing faster than our resources.
To continue expanding our reach, supporting more families, and building sustainable community sport initiatives, we now need funding partners who believe in the power of sport as a force for social good.
We’re also inviting sports brands and retailers to partner with us to responsibly manage seconds, customer returns and non-fault defective items. Instead of surplus stock going to waste, we can redirect it straight back into communities — extending product life, reducing environmental impact, and putting quality kit into the hands of young people who need it most. It’s a practical, measurable way for brands to deliver both sustainability and social value.
If you’re:
• A business looking to create meaningful local impact
• A funder focused on youth, wellbeing or sustainability
• A brand seeking a responsible solution for surplus or returned stock
• Or someone who can connect us with the right people
We’d love to start a conversation.
This interview is a milestone — but it’s also a stepping stone. This will hopefully be aired next month just before we head to the London Marathon Run Show.
Let’s build something bigger together.
