Who we are

We are a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) with a mix of runners, volunteers and people passionate in making fitness more accessible and affordable to others. We formed in 2021, operating out of 3 plastic tubs from our home address. Since then, we have grown, running the business out of 2x 50sq foot lockups.

Our presence has grown this year since we attended the National Running Show, the National Outdoor Expo and the National Cycling Show, all held at Birmingham NEC.

We are currently completely volunteer led but thanks to a recent donation and ongoing sales income, we are in a position to fund a temporary, part-time role to help coordinate projects and content, support the community and drive our mission forward.

What you will be doing

Working alongside the founding team and different leads for various projects, you will offer support across many aspects of Preloved Sports’ work, with particular focus on:

Community –
our community means our founding team, our volunteers, our customers, our partners and other like-minded organisations that we collaborate with. You will be helping to coordinate enquiries and field opportunities, ensuring they have a point of contact and feel supported, generating leads and form new partnerships with brands and charities / organisations who help those in need.

Content – collating content and resources (from wider team) and updating platforms (mainly website and social media) regularly. Liaising with the volunteer team and members for blogs and stories.

Company admin – ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date to make the business operations efficient.

Accountability – we are accountable for everything we do, being open and honest about how we operate.

Essentially this role is a bit like the central cog in our lovely little ecosystem, helping to keep things interconnected, moving smoothly and all heading in the same direction.

  • A people person who enjoys engaging and connecting with a wide range of interesting people online, via phone or in person at shows / events
  • A person who is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. A bit of experience or desire to learn basic Canva skills would also be helpful
  • We understand that everyone comes with different lives and professional experiences. While we are not looking for a specific number of years experience in any part of the job, we are looking for a resourceful and proactive doer who is able to draw on previous experiences to apply to this role and who is able to act on and seek out opportunities for the organisation.
  • You don’t have to be a runner or cyclist but it would be helpful if you are interested in the fitness community, can relate to stories and can speak the lingo.
  • You do need to be passionate about creating partnerships and having a positive impact on peoples lives.

What we offer

  • Flexible work hours to fit around your life and other commitments
  • Part of an awesome team with a diverse range of experience, expert knowledge and resources to tap into and grow with
  • Opportunity to drive change and make an impact within the fitness community
