Last Friday, we headed over to Manchester to visit Moss Side Fire Station as they run a boxing club for the underprivileged kids.
These are kids whose only decent meal is the free meal they receive at school. They turn up for boxing sessions in school uniform as their families are unable to afford other clothing.
We know how important fitness is to a person’s mental health and wellbeing. The boxing club helps the kids with this and keeps them off the streets and out of trouble.
The purpose of our trip over to Manchester was to discuss a new partnership with Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue and to help supply these kids with some sportswear so they can continue to attend the boxing club in clothing that is more suitable for them. We know it’ll make a huge difference to them.
We couldn’t do this without the support of everyone donating and buying through Preloved Sports. Together we can reduce waste, raise money for charity and help support those in need.
